Sally Anne Fitter Artist
Sally Anne Fitter works mainly in acrylic on canvas, occasionally incorporating collage and gold and silver leaf, developing surface textures to produce her still life. She uses a rich palette and takes inspiration from flowers, fruit and decorative everyday objects. Her background as a textile designer is evident in her use of pattern and colour.
Sally Anne Fitter studied ceramics at Bristol Art School, gaining a First Class Honours Degree.
She went on to teach art and ceramics at Latymer Boys School London.
After a textile design course at Chelsea School of Art, Sally Anne set up and ran 'Digby Morton', for nearly ten years, a textile design studio in Clerkenwell, London.
Her designs sold worldwide to clients such as Ralph Lauren in New York and Libertys of London.
Sally Anne Fitter now lives in North Norfolk with her husband and three children. Sally has exhibited her work widely throughout the UK in galleries in Norfolk, Suffolk, Bath, Birmingham and London.
In 2003 Sally Anne became a professional fine artist, selling worldwide. Her work displays a strong sense of colour and design. She primarily concentrates on still life in its varied forms and continues to use numerous painting techniques, collage and scrufito to produce her stunning, much sought after pieces.
