Jenny specialises in sculptures of Lurcher dogs, which she crafts in crank clay, sometimes with stoneware slip to obtain a smooth finish, colouring them with various metal oxides, and firing them to stoneware temperatures. She finds Lurchers an ideal subject as they have a lot of character in a very elegant form. She tries to emphasise their curves and lines in her work while retaining that character.
Born in 1957 in rural North Bucks with an agricultural upbringing involving close contact with animals and the natural environment, Jenny moved to West Norfolk in 1997 with her daughter Christina, who is a Fine Art Photographer.
In 2002 she started a National Diploma in Ceramics, followed by an HND in Fine Art.
